Essential Duties
- Servicing, repair and preventative maintenance of buses to a professional standard
- Strong knowledge of Bus/HGV vehicles & systems
- Perform routine inspections to prevent vehicle breakdowns
- Keen awareness of typical safety issues associated with Public Service vehicles
- Regular attention to and repair of fleet defects as reported by our drivers
- Reporting to Workshop Manager and attending team meetings as necessary
- Compliance with all Corporate Health and Safety standards and industry best practice
- Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with all regulations that may affect our operation
- Share technical assistance on parts/repairs with customers and workshop staff
Qualifications and Skills
- Ideally you will have a recognisable qualification and a minimum 3 years proven experience specifically on commercials, Buses/HGV.
- Experience with Euro 6 engines coupled with excellent technical and diagnostic skills.
- Strong knowledge of and troubleshooting electric, audio and Air Conditioning systems. Successful applicants will have a team-oriented attitude and pride in a job well done.
- A Class ‘D’ driving licence would be beneficial.
- Computer literate - training will be provided on our ‘VMS’ system
- (Distinctive Systems Vehicle Maintenance system)
- Good spoken and written English
